Find the diagonal length of the door.

If diagonal is greater than or equal to 96 inch, the table will fit through the door else it will not fit.

diagonal =  \sqrt{ {42}^{2}  +  {84}^{2} }  \\  = 93.9148

Table will not fit through the door.

Before, finding the answer. Let's find out how we can find the answer.

  • In this question, we have to find the diagonal of the door by using the Pythagoras theorem formula.
  • If the diagonal is shorter than the door, then the table will not fit through the front door.

Given :

  • Length of door = 42 inches
  • Breadth of door = 84 inches
  • Diameter of Circular table = 96 inches

To find :

  • whether the table will fit through the front door

Solution :

⇒ Let's find the Diagonal of the Door.

Diagonal = √a² + b²

               = √42² + 84²

               = √1764 + 7056

               = √8820

               = 93.91

Therefore, the Diagonal of the door is 93.9 inches.

⇒ Since the diagonal is shorter than the diameter of the circular table, It will not fit the front door.
