Step-by-step explanation:

Let the share of sweets of Jim, Dan and David be (6×x), (2×x) and (1×x)

=6x, 2x and x

Jim gets 25 more sweets than David

By condition,

6x - x=25

=)5x=25

=)x= 25/5

=)x=5

Total number of sweets= 6x+ 2x + x

=(6×5)+(2×5)+5

=30+10+5

=45

Answer:

Jim gets 6x , Dan gets 2x and David gets X . Now ,

6x - X =25

5x = 25

X =25 /5

= 5 sweets.

total sweets = 6x + 2x +X

= 9x

= 9 * 5 = 45 sweets

Hence, there were 45 sweets in all.
