Given : Jim had $20 to spend at the Video Rental. He has a late fee of $4.00 and it will cost him $2.99 to rent each movie.

To Find :   inequality   for the most number of movies, m, he can rent

Solution:

number of movies can rent = m

Each movie cost =  $2.99

m movie cost = 2.99m  $

Late fee = $ 4

Total Cost - 2.99m + 4

Total Money available = 20 $

Total Cost  ≤ Total Money available

=> 2.99m + 4  ≤ 20

Inequality  is 2.99m + 4  ≤ 20

=> 2.99m   ≤ 16

=> m ≤ 5.35

=> m 5  as movies can be in integer only

Maximum 5 movies can be rented
