Let Jimmy has x numbers of 50p coins, therefore he has 2x numbers of 25p coins.

3 rupees = 300paise

Therefore x*50+2x*25= 300

50x+50x=300

100x=300

x=3

Therfore jimmy has 3 numbers 50p and 6 numbers 25p coins

3*50p+6*25p=150p +150p=300p= 3 rupees
