Once there was a marriage in pune of a soldier. Marriage Rally was going near by Lal Mahal where Chhatrapati Used to live. Shivaji Maharaj Saw that Someone was doing some entertaining act there. Asking that what was going on , he was told that it was Jiva Mahala, a locality who was skilled to aim a Coconut even from a distance of 10 hands. He rewarded Jiva for his Abilities.

After Some years, When Shivaji Maharaj were going to meet Afjal Khan, both decided to keep two bodyguards only. Afjal was keeping only one bodyguard named Sayyad Banda. Shivaji Maharaj was told that Sayyad Banda was capable of killing enemy from a distance of 6 hands. So Shivaji Maharaj remembered Of Jiva. He called him and told him that his only and only work was to keep an eye on Sayyad Banda.

On the day of Meeting, when afjal khan was killed by Shivaji, Sayyad Banda ran towards shivaji but Suddenly Jiva got on his knees and aimed Sayyad's arm carrying sword and cut his hand from his body. And in other shot he killed Banda.
