Joan is six times John's age now. Six years later, the age of Joan will be 1/3 of John's age. What is the present age of Joan?

John’s current Age = x

Sister’s current age = 5

After three years, John’s new age = x+3

Sister’s new age = 8

We know, John would be twice old as her sister

(x + 3) = 2 x 8

x+3 = 16

x = 16–3 = 13
