Answer:

8800

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say Cost Price = 100C

Loss 12% = (12/100) 100C = 12C

Selling Price = 100C - 12C = 88C

If her buying price and selling price were higher by Rs. 5,000

Then Cost Price = 100C + 5000

Selling Price = 88C + 5000

Loss = 8 %

= (8/100) * (100C + 5000)

= 8C + 400

Selling Price = 100C + 5000   - (8C + 400) = 92C + 4600

92C + 4600 = 88C + 5000

=> 4C = 400

=> C = 100

Original Selling price = 88C  = 88*100  = 8800
