We know that ,

To find average speed :-

$= > \frac{2xy}{x + y}$

Where ,

X = 60 km/h

Y = 40 km/h

$= > \frac{2 \times 60 \times 40}{60 + 40}$

$= > \frac{4800}{100} = 48 \: kmph$

Hence ,

His Average speed of the whole journey is 48 km/h.
