Explanation:

• 'Justice' exposed the brutality and heartlessness of the British prisons.  The play was watched by British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.  A heated argument took place in the Parliament whence forth many amendments were made about the prisons.

• 'Justice' showcased the hypocrisy and lacuna in the British prisons.  Although Charles Dickens had portrayed the subject in his famous novel Great Expectations and Elizabeth Fry had dedicated her life in reforming prisons yet the conditions hardly improved.

• Galsworthy through his central character 'Falder' the nervous young man who is imprisoned for a fraudulence, meets the iron treatment of the prison cell.  He suffers from a massive break down and is not helped by the Church parish who visits the prisons as a Counsellor.  

• Every person witnesses the pains faced by the prisoners but no help is rendered.  In fact the reason for imprisoning Falder is rather heartless.  

• He could be easily pardoned and saved from being imprisoned.  Justice is thus a play that is more about a campaign to improve conditions in British prisons.
