Given:

John has a jar filled with juice. After he poured 350 ml of juice in every 8 glasses he was still left with 200 ml juice in the jar.

To Find:

What was the capacity of the jar in litres?

Solution:

It is given that he poured 350 ml of juice in every 8 glasses he was still left with 200 ml juice in the jar then we need to find the capacity of the jar,

First, we should find the total quantity he poured in 8 glasses which will be equal to 350 times 8,

Quantity poured= 350*8

                           =2800ml

Now after this he was still left will 200ml of juice, which makes the total quantity of the jar as,

Total quantity= 2800+200

                      =3000ml

So the total capacity of the jar will be 3000ml or 3L.

Hence, the capacity of the jar is 3L.
