 \huge \underline \mathfrak {Solution} :-

Let the age of John's sister be x years

Given, John is 7 years older than her sister.

So, let the John's age be x + 7

Given, the sum of their ages is 21

According to the question,

x + x + 7 = 21

➾ 2x + 7 = 21

➾ 2x = 14

➾ x = \dfrac{14}{2}

➾ x = 7

∴ Present age of John's sister ➾ x years

\boxed{7 \: years}

∴ Present age of John ➾ x + 7 years

➾ 7 + 7

\boxed{14 \: years}

\huge {Hello!!!}

Here's The Answer :

&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;<br />Let John's sister age be x
John's Age = (x + 7)

=>According to Question.

(x) + ( x + 7 ) = 21

x + x + 7 = 21

2x + 7 = 21

2x = 21 - 7

2x = 14

x = 14 /2

x = 7

So, John 's sister age
= x
= 7

John 's Age
= (x + 7)
= 7 + 7
= 14
