Yes John is a hypocrite. This can be said on the context of his reviews on the bestsellers. He used to critique bestsellers for being written exaggerated that even an ordinary man marries to a princess even being unknown to eachother rather he might have seen her face for one but he himself being an ordinary guy loved the girl with big background and love towards her evoked in his heart at his first sight.
