John travels a certain distance in 1 hour 24 minutes by covering two-third of the distance at 4 km/h and the rest at 5 km/h. Calculate the total distance.

total time= 1hr 24min=8/5hr

total speed = 4+5=9km/hr

Now

s=d/t

d=s×t

9×8/5=72/5km
