John walks a distance of 500 metre to his office from home speed is 0.5 metre per second for the first half and one metre per second for the second half of the distance determine the total time taken by John to reach his office and his average speed​

Total distance is 500m

T1 = 250/0.5= 500s

T2 = 250/1 = 250s

Total time = T1 + T2

= 500 + 250 = 750s = 750/60= 12.5 minutes

Average speed = Total distance/ Total time

= 500/750 = 2/3 =0.6m/s
