John wants to find out how far the top of his ladder is from the ground. He knows his ladder is 20 feet long and the base of the ladder is 10 feet from the tree. What is h?

C is tge foot of ladder which is 10 m away ftom the tree and AC is the ladder which is 20 m long.

To find the height of the tree:-

Using pythagoras theorem:-

H²=P²+B²

AC²=AB²+BC²

20²=AB²+10²

400=AB²+100

400-100=AB²

300=AB²

 \sf \: AB =  \sqrt{300}  = 17.32

So the height is 17.32 m
