Johnson travelled 3000 km by air which formed 2/5 of his trip. One third of the whole trip, he travelled by car and the rest of the journey he performed by train. What was the distance travelled by train?

total distance travelled by johnson =3000 km

he travels 2/5 of his trip by air =2/5×3000=1200 km by air

now he travels 1/3 of trip by car =1/3×3000=1000 km by car

now by train

total trip distance - distance travelled by car + by air

3000 - 1000 + 1200

=800 km by train
