Joint family:
A joint family is defined as family that consists of more people that are closely related more than not only children and parents. This may include parent's uncle's aunts, grandparents, etc.
Joint families are decreasing in number in India because of some reasons like
- People are diverging to different places in search of jobs and educational institutions.
- People are diverging to different places due to mutual misunderstandings and quarrel among the family members.
- Unavailability of enough income leads people to separate from their families.
