Answer -

Joky's Share = Rs 300

John's Share = Rs 240

Explanation-

Given :

Joky weaved 5 baskets

John weaved 4 baskets

Selling Price = Rs 540

Finding the cost of each basket -

Total number of baskets = 5 + 4 = 9

So, Total baskets = 9

Given : 9 baskets = Rs 540

So , 1 basket = 540/9 = 60.

1 basket = Rs 60

Finding the share of Joky -

1 basket = Rs 60

5 baskets = 60 x 5 = Rs 300

Share of Joky = Rs 300

Finding the share of John -

1 basket = Rs 60

4 baskets = 60 x 4 = Rs 240

Share of John = Rs 240

Hence:

Joky's Share = Rs 300

John's Share = Rs 240

Answer :

Share of Joky's earnings = Rs. 300

Share of Jani's earnings = Rs. 240

Step-by-step explanation :
<br /><br /><br /><br />\text{ \underline{Given <br />: }}

Joky weaved 5 baskets

Jani weaved 4 baskets

Selling price of ( 5 + 4 ) baskets = Rs 540

 \text{ \underline{Solution :}}

Let the common multiple be 'x'

Hence,

As per the question,

5x + 4x = 540

9x = 540

x = 540/9

x = 60

Thus,

Cost of each basket = Rs.60

Joky weaved 5 baskets

 \sf \therefore{5 × 60 = Rs. 300}

And Jani weaved 4 baskets

 \sf{ \therefore 4 \times 60 = Rs.240}

Hence,

Final answer :

Joky's earnings = Rs. 300

Jani's earnings = Rs. 240
