Heyy!
Here is your answer!!!
Here, I had taken amount in Rs.
Final Result : 12

Let the total amount of Jolene be Rs. (y) and cost of each pen be (x).

=>Cost of each book = 3x
Now,
Let the no. of pen be (n).

According to the question,
Jolene spent Rs.( 2/3y) on (n)pens and Rs. 1/3 y on 2 books.

=>
 \frac{2y}{3}  = n \times x \:  -  -  -  - (1) \\   \frac{y}{3}  = 2 \times 3x \:   -  -  -  -( 2) \\
Dividing eq. (1) and (2),
we get
2/1 = n/ 6
=>n =12

No. of pens = 12

Hope, you understand my answer and it may helps you.
