The current weight of Jon :
70 + 70 \times (4 \div 100) = 70 + (14 \div 5) = 70 + 2.8 = 72.8kg

His weight was 70kgs
He has increased his weight by 4% of his old weight i.e. 70 kgs

Hence,

Present weight = 70kgs + ( 4% of 70kgs )

Present weight = 70 + ( 4 / 100 × 70 )

Present weight = 70 + 2.8

Present weight = 72.8 kgs
