Jorney of 480km was covered in 9hours.some part of journey was coverd 45km/hour and remaining at 60km/hour . Find how much part of journey was covered at the speed of 60km/hour ?

Total Distance = 480km
Total time = 9 hours

Distance travelled during speed 45km/h be x.
So,
Distance travelled during speed 60km/h wipp be 480-x

So time = dis/speed

9 = x/45 + (480-x)/60
9 = 4x + 3(480-x) / 180
1620 = 4x + 1440 -3x
x = 1620-1440
x= 180km

So distance travelled during 45 km/h is 180km

So distance during 60km/h is 480-180= 300km

Let he covered x km distance at speed of 45km/hr so rest (480-x)km distance he covered at speed of 60km/hr.

APQ , x/45 + (480-x) /60 =9

x = 180 after solving the equation
