Rs 6125 profit in transaction

Step-by-step explanation:

joshi purchased 125 shares of FV ₹100 for market value of ₹90

Investment = number of shares * MV

= 125  * 90

= 11250 Rs

Brokerage Paid = 125*50/100 = Rs 62.5

20% Dividend  = (20/100) * 100 * 125   = 2500  Rs

15% Dividend = (15/100) * 100 * 125  = 1875 Rs

Sold = 125 * 105 = Rs 13125

Brokerage Paid = 125*50/100 = Rs 62.5

Total Paid = 11250 + 62.5 + 62.5  = 11375 Rs

Amount received = 2500 + 1875 + 13125

= 17500 Rs

Profit = 17500 - 11375

= Rs 6125
