Explanation:

None of us is completely free of bias in our personal opinions. But as the daughter of a journalist, i can tell you that their greatest obligation is to report the facts “without fear or favor.” opinions are for the editorial page. News stories should be reported as accurately as possible. Some reporters strive for this. My father did.

I just read another answer here by someone whose answer is ignorant and illiterate. He does not know there is no Democrat party although there is a Democratic party. He doesn't know the difference between “your" and “you're”. And his grammar? Let's not go there. So he's obviously not reading above 4th grade level so what is he reading? And he doesn't know the difference between news and opinion pages. A sorry comment about literacy in the US. I'm skeptical about this person's alleged credentials.

There is no Democratic news or Republican news. There is only news. At one point there was a fairness rule for radio and television but Reagan, the great revered idiot of the Republican party got rid of it. the fairness rule said they had to present both sides of the story. Along came fox news. Now they're complaining?

And as far as everyone talking in unison, ha! Google “talk like Newt. Gopac 1990” and “dittoheads.” and give the rest of us a break!
