Required Answer:-

Let the total number of people who attended the wedding be x. Obviously they have eaten the food there, As we all do the same :)

Now, According to question:

  • 1/3 of the guests chose beef
  • 5/12 of the guests chose chicken
  • 69 people chose vegetarian

The above data can be expressed as:

  • Guests who chose beef + Guests who chose chicken + Guests who were vegetarian = Total number of guests.

Plugging the values according to data,

➙ x/3 + 5x/12 + 69 = x

➙ 9x/12 + 69 = x

➙ 12x/12 - 9x/12 = 69

➙ 3x/12 = 69

➙ x/4 = 69

➙ x = 276.

Hence:-

The total number of guests who attended the wedding party were:

\underline{\boxed{\LARGE{\purple{\sf{276 (Ans)}}}}}

Let total number of guests be a.

⚕️ a/3 + 5a/12 + 69 = a

⚕️ 9a/12 + 69 = a

⚕️ 12a/12 - 9a/12 = 69

⚕️ 3a/12 = 69

⚕️ 1a/4 = 69

⚕️ a/4 = 69
