Professor J S Rajput, former NCERT Director was nominated by The Ministry of Human Resource Development as India’s representative to Executive Board (EXB) of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).
The Executive Board (EXB) is elected by the General Conference. The EXB is a constitutional part of UNESCO . It has 58 seats and has four year term. The board is designated with the responsibility of examining the work for UNESCO and also with the estimate of corresponding budget.
JS Rajput had been associated with UNESCO and other international agencies for more than three decades. During the period between April-May 2005 he was invited by the organisation to take part in Evaluation of UNESCO International Center for Technical and Vocational Education, UNEVOC, Bonn, Germany.
