Juan is writing an essay based on what he read in "The Most Dangerous Game, Part 1" and "The Most Dangerous Game, Part 2" Which excerpt from the story best supports his idea that Rainsford learns to sympathize with the animals he normally hunts?

Throughout the story we see that there is a constant inversion of roles.

We see that the hunter becomes the hunted twice.

It is the first time that we see Rainsford is actually fored into being the prey by Zaroff.

The second time however we see that Zaroff is being hunted by Rainsford.

This inversion of roles continues till the end of the story where we see that

Rainsford metaphorically takes on the role of Zaroff by sleeping in his bed.
