Resistance when connected in parallel

1/Rp  = 1/R1  + 1/R2

Case 1

R1 = 1 Ω

R2 = 10^6 Ω = 1000000 Ω

1/Rp = 1/1  + 1/1000000

=> 1/Rp = (1000000 + 1)/1000000

=> 1/Rp = 1000001/1000000

=> Rp = 1000000/1000001

=> Rp = 0.999999 Ω

=> Rp ≈ 1 Ω
