Practically Executive / Govt headed by the Prime Minister is most powerful , specially if there is absolute majority in both houses of the Parliament.

Reason is that Parliament is practically controlled by the executive , where MPs are expected to obey whips and Anti defection law prevents them going against the party line .

The example of late PM Indira Gandhi shows how Executive , Legislature can be controlled by a PM and even Judiciary can be controlled by the government by not providing them budgets and other help in discharging speedy trials .

Appointment , promotions , transfer were under govt before judiciary invented collegium system to insulate itself from govt interference.

That is why , everyone chases political power in India.
