Let Judy have $x and Tim have $y.

According to the question,

x= $\frac{3}{5}$ y ----(A)
and, y-168 = $\frac{7}{9}$ x -----(B)

Putting the value of (A) in (B), we will get:-

y-168 = ($\frac{7}{9}$)($\frac{3}{5}$y)
⇒y-168 = $\frac{21y}{45}$
⇒45y-7560 = 21y
⇒45y - 21y = 7560
⇒24y = 7560
⇒y = 315 --------------------(C)

Now, putting the value of (C) in (A), we will get: -

x= $\frac{3*315}{5}$
⇒ x = 189

Therefore, Judy has $189 and Tim has $315.
