Julie runs around a square field. each side of it 80 metres. Kate runs around a rectangular field. its length is 100 metres and breadth 50 metres. who will run more in three rounds and by how much?

perimeter of square =4×side
=4×80=320m
3 rounds= 320×3
=960m

Kate
perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)
=2(100+50)
=2(150)=300m
3rounds=300×3=900m

difference=960-900
=60
hence,Julie runs 60m more then Kate
