The red data book is a book which contains a list of endangered or vulnerable species of an country or region . it is initiated by the iucn to help conserve those species which are in danger of extinction . the red data book is classified into mamals plants insects etc . each country has a red data book or the red list . it is usually red in colour . the iucn founded this in 1964
