Even though at times you want to sit idle and watch your world turn out to be fine, but you must not completely relaxing but be ready to fight like one places his hand on the bridle before the race is going to start.

The poet also states that we cannot conquer anything if we just sit without doing any trials. The poet compares our efforts to the way a man can woo a woman to make her agree to marry him.

In the third stanza, it is expressed that there are very few people who try and fail. Also, there are hardly any people who don't win if they wait. Answer:

Just be up and doing is an instructive poem in which poet, in light of his personal life experience, has advised in a fatherly manner. Poet enlightens about the virtues of setting goals and perusing them later and has deciphered the cons of being a spectator. He is of view that opportunities are created not being offered by others. Wait for ideal conditions to set in is futile. One should always be prepared to avail the opportunity. For this, there should be certain objectives in life. Once one set the goals hardships will come in the way but at the same time, there will also be many who will encourage you to face them with determination. So one should not be overcome by the magnitude of hurdles. The crux of the poem is that those who endeavour in life to achieve their goals rarely fail and those who achieve something without efforts are exceptions. Key to successful life, therefore, is that one should make life purposeful, and to achieve his aims of life one should make strenuous efforts.
