Just explain me how the subtraction has done in this process/method of subtraction .

There's a confusion because of the change in the signs.

Let us write this horizontally.

(3x²-4y²+6y-2)-(5x²-2y²+2)

As you would have learnt in lower classes, (Integers chapter)

(-)×(+) = (-)

(+)×(+) = (+)

(-)×(-) = (+)

(+)×(-) = (-)

hence,

as we known these, the signs change for each term as (-) is being multiplied with each of the term.

by removing the brackets,

3x²-4y²+6y-2-5x²+2y²-2

and grouping all the like terms,

3x²-5x²-4y²+2y²+6y-2-2

-2x²-2y²+6y-4
