just out of curiosity what is the most basic and fundamental law in chemistry​

i think it should be that nothing is certain and every rule/law has exceptions and in chemistry first experiments are done to find values and then reason is given for the results whereas in physics first theory is formulated and then it is checked by performing experiments.
