Justice Govind Mathur, a senior judge of Rajasthan High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court.

Explanation:

Justice Govind Mathur was the senior most judge of Rajasthan high court and firstly he was appointed as acting Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court .

But on 10th November 2018, he was given a full charge as Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court.

The oath was taken by Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik in a simple ceremony in the court room of Chief Justice.
