A tissue is a group of cells performing a similar function. As blood contains a number of different types of cells like RBCs, WBCs, and platelets, blood is a tissue.

Blood is an example of a connective tissue.The components of blood are plasma and blood corpucells.It has a fluid matrix.It transports materials from one place to another in our body.It carries hormones,toxins,food materials etc in it.
