Tungsten has a high melting point which produces a lot of heat due to high resistance which changes into light energy which is that phenomenon used in lamps(b) series arrangement have a single switch for all the appliances attached to it and even if a single appliance stops working the whole circuit breaks down and moreover the current is also same for all the appliances attached in a series arrangement
