using enzymes the liver cells makes, into a non toxic 
form so the body can dispose of them. 
The liver also converts fats, protein, and carbohydrates 
into glucose, which is the energy source for our cells 
to use. 
The liver takes amino acids and makes proteins, 
by combining them. 
And there are others things...but this gives you an 
idea of some of them.
