THE FRENCH SOCIETY WAS DIVIDED INTO
THREE ESTATES Namely:-
1. THE FIRST ESTATE: This estate consist clergy. The higher priest of the church are included in this estate. They didnot have to give taxes. They lived a luxurious life. They are considered highest in the french society at that time.
2. The second estate consist nobility. They hold the second position in French society. They are also Tax free.
3. THE THIRD ESTATE consist common people of the society like Craftsmen,labours,artisians,advocate,farmers, landless labourers ,etc. They had to pay many taxes. They lived a miserable life. They are considered lowest in French society.
This was the social disparity of French society at that time.
