Justify the following statements with reason: (a) The volume of water does not change when one table spoonful of sugar is added to 100 ml of water. If the back of your hand is moistened with alcohol , it rapidly become dry and your hand feels cool. People keep water in earthen pot during summer to cool it.

(a) the volume of water does not change when we add sugar in 100 ml of water because particles of liquid are loosely packed and sugar comes in space.
(b) because alcohol absorbed heat from ouer hands and evaporates it that's why our palm felt cool.
