Answer:

India with a long coastline of 75000 km is the country with the longest coastline in the Indian Ocean. Australia and Indonesia are the other two nations with long coastlines and the largest economic zones in the Indian Ocean. The Indian Ocean is named after India because of its strategic location at the head of the ocean from ancient times and its long coastline which is longer than any other country in the Indian Ocean rim.
