There are 3 types of plastids -

Leucoplasts are colorless plastids. They store the food of the plant body in the form of starch, protein and lipids.

2. Chloroplasts are green plastids due to the presence of chlorophyll. They help in photosynthesis.

3. Chromoplasts are variously colored plastids. They are mostly present tin flowers and fruits. They help in attracting insects that help in pollination.
