Efficiency of respiration is determined by the production of ATP molecules in the process i.e. energy produced during the process. Since during aerobic respiration, break down of 1 glucose molecule occurs to form approximately 38 ATP molecules and in anaerobic respiration 1 glucose molecule forms only 2 ATP molecules. Therefore, aerobic respiration is more efficient than anaerobic respiration
