Humans naturally like to think of themselves as superior, but when it comes to the sucess of microorganisms, we are literally nothing.
There really is no fundemental difference between humans and other individuals of the animal kingdom. We may point at how our hip structure is unique, or we’re rather intelligent, and claim that those features separate us from other animals, but it really doesn’t. Each species has it’s own unique traits and features, which is what defines them as a species. In that sense, nothing could be classified as an animal, because they would all be ‘different’ from each other. So, no, I do not think so.
