The title of the story 'the letter' is justified as the whole story is based on a letter . Because of this letter an insensitive hunter gets converted to into a tender hearted human. For 5 years he daily visited post office to get a letter from his only daughter Miriam .Even bad and cold weather can't destroy his strong determination of getting that letter. Till the end of his life he waited for the letter. It was the letter that made the postmaster to understand the grief and agony of Ali...
