Swami portrays a terrifying picture of his teacher Mr Samuel to his dad to avoid being sent to school. He says that the teacher beats children and so he does not want to go to school. Unfortunately for him, his dad believes his son and writes a strong note about this to the headmaster. To make matters worse, he entrusts Swami with the task of handing over the letter.
Since Swami knows that the contents of the letter are not true, he decides to misbehave in Mr Samuel’s class and get caned. He feels that the red marks on his hand will justify the letter and be enough proof for Mr Samuel’s misdeeds. But, he is in for a surprise when he comes to know that the headmaster is on leave and has appointed Mr Samuel to take his place in his absence.
As if this was not enough, at home, Swami’s dad refuses to believe his son when he says that the headmaster was on leave. He is taunted for being a coward.
