Hey !!
The title is self-revealing. It is the last lesson of M. Hamel in French to his students. German was to be imposed in the school from the next day and a new teacher would replace M. Hamel. Even the village elders came to pay respect and listen to the last lesson. The last lesson makes the students and the people realize the need to guard their native language, French.
Good luck !!
