Justify the title of the poem “cold within”

in the poem the cold within, the poet says that there are six people trapped by chance in bleak and bitter cold. they all have on stick of birch with them and their fire is dying and is in immediate need of fuel. none of them gives their stick because of their foolishness and the discrimination within their heart. the poet titles the poem THE COLD WITHIN because all these people die due to the cold they have within their hearts and not merely because of cold outside. so the title best suits the poem.

The title of the poem 'The Cold Within' is symbolic of black of earth and compassion in human being.Six human are caught against their will in "bleak and bitter cold",they are trapped by happenstance but none of them uses the worden stick,each one has due to racism, envy, arrogance , revenge and greed.The cold is bleak and bitter  because these six human are not warm and friendly with one another. They are so cold from inside that they do not realize that by not helping others they them self might perish.lt is ironical that these six men are sitting together in a 'forlorn group' their cold heartedness invite death in their life.They died with loge tight in their hands.Thus, the title is approriate as they does not died from cold out side but from cold Within'.
