Answer:

The title rattrap is a metaphor through which the author has tried to make his reader understand that this life is like a snare. Just as in a rattrap cheese and pork are kept to lure and entrap the mouse; this world also has enticements in the form of riches, joys, shelter and food, heat and clothing.

Answer:

The writer, in the lesson, 'The Rattrap' compares the world to a big rattrap in a metaphorical manner. The different riches, joys food and shelter that the world offers are nothing but baits and the moment anyone touches them, the world's rattrap closes in him and everything comes to an end.
