Answer:

Certain substances are made out of a particular material only because they have a constant composition and chemical properties that make its existence possible on Earth.

Any substance can change their state of matter and exist in either solid, liquid or gaseous phase but the composition remains unaltered.

The components are fixed as the chemical reaction is possible only between such elements in order to produce the required substance. Any other reaction would produce a different substance altogether.

For example: Water is formed of hydrogen and oxygen. Any other components won't combine to produce water as the composition is fixed. Only when two molecules of hydrogen and one molecule of oxygen combine, water is formed.
